The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed robbery about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in Ypsilanti Township.
In the 8600 block of Spinnaker Way, a 29-year-old woman was getting out of her car when she was approached by a man who was carrying a handgun, according to a news release.
The suspect, described as a 6'4", skinny, black man of unknown age ordered the woman to give him money. He stole her wallet before fleeing the area on foot.
Deputies responded immediately after the robbery occurred.
The suspect was described as wearing black pants with a white stripe, a dark-colored hoodie and a dark cloth over his face.
